Annual Gilbert Lake
Boat Parade

Join us again in 2026 on July 4th.

July 4, 2025, 10 am: The Annual Gilbert Lake Boat Parade was led by Sutfin' USA, which was three pontoon boats tied together. There were 14 boats, which were joined by a dinghy or two. Lots of people onshore watching.

Thursday, July 4, 2024: About fifteen boats participated in the 5th annual Gilbert Lake Independence Day Parade. It worked out for photographer Mark Persons to be there at the 10 am start as he needed to leave by 11 am for family activities. Lots of enthusiastic people on the boats and on shore. The weather was good for the parade. It rained, starting at 4 pm, with 0.88 inches measured overnight into July 5th.

Thanks to Nick Woltman for three of the images, including the above Mission Control barge.
