Gilbert Lake Association Stories from 2019

Friday, June 7, 2019:  A bog broke lose from Gilbert Lake 3 and found its way to the main lake.  The bog was a combination of plant material that is normally near the shore in the channel leading to Lake 3.  It was a group effort to get the bog taken care of.  Boats pushed the bog to shore at the public landing.  Lane Schaeffer operated a backhoe to pull the bog ashore in pieces.  This took all day.   Then the bog material dried for a day before being hauled away in a truck.
All was well at the end of the day.
